By substituting battery-powered equipment for conventional gasoline engines, the conversion process will drastically cut emissions and help create <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/cm-maryam-nawaz-launches-large-scale-cleaning-drive-for-rural-areas\/\">cleaner air<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, a successful trial involving the conversion of obsolete gasoline-powered motorcycles into electric versions has already been carried out.<\/p>\n<p>After testing, which is presently being conducted by the<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pm-shehbaz-invites-qatari-businessmen-to-invest-in-pakistans-energy-technology-sector\/\"> University of Engineering and Technology<\/a> (UET), the project will formally start. According to him, all gasoline-powered motorcycles will run on batteries from October through January.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, he clarified that the UET Engineering Department is testing the bikes that will be produced and that the plan to turn old bikes into electric bikes will be started after the testing is complete.<\/p>\n<p>According to Qazi, the World Bank and Punjab are working together on the Punjab Clean Air Program, and the program has also set aside money for the electric bike conversion project.<\/p>\n<p>With an emphasis on female students, the Punjab government has broadened its electric bike program, increasing the number of bikes accessible to students from 20,000 to 27,200.
