{"id":56915,"date":"2024-11-22T20:36:07","date_gmt":"2024-11-22T15:36:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=56915"},"modified":"2024-11-22T20:36:07","modified_gmt":"2024-11-22T15:36:07","slug":"iwmb-announces-approval-of-margalla-viewpoint-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/iwmb-announces-approval-of-margalla-viewpoint-project\/","title":{"rendered":"IWMB announces approval of Margalla Viewpoint project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The 5th Implementation Committee unanimously accepted the master plan for the eco-restoration of the Margalla Viewpoint project, the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/islamabad-traffic-plan-ahead-of-pti-protest-announced\/\">Islamabad Wildlife Management Board<\/a> (IWMB) announced on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The attempts to turn the<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/islamabad\/monal-restaurant-to-open-again-in-islamabads-margalla-hills\/\"> Margalla Hills i<\/a>nto a flourishing environment and a well-liked tourist attraction have reached a major turning point with this noteworthy breakthrough.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/health\/kp-govt-plans-to-solarize-195-healthcare-units\/\">master plan<\/a>, created by architect Imrana Tiwana in partnership with the Islamabad-based Architect DB Studio, is the outcome of careful preparation and cooperation from all parties involved, according to an IWMB spokeswoman.<\/p>\n<p>IWMB\u2019s Chairperson said, \u201cThe approval of the master plan marks a significant milestone in our efforts to restore the Margalla Hills ecosystem. We are committed to creating a thriving green space that benefits both the environment and the community,\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to restoring the Margalla Hills&#8217; natural beauty, the proposal calls for a green area that offers locals and visitors a distinctive leisure area.<\/p>\n<p>The master plan&#8217;s main features include strolling trails, promenades, and a reflecting pool as well as an eco-display area, an outdoor amphitheater, a children&#8217;s play area, an older seating area, a prayer area, a visitor center, offices, and parking spaces.<\/p>\n<p>In response to a question, the IWMB representative informed APP that the debris from the destroyed mega-restaurants has been cleared out and that lantana clearance and rewilding of the area will start as soon as the next rainy season arrives.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, WWF Pakistan will start gathering money for the project, and construction is anticipated to start shortly.
