{"id":57008,"date":"2024-11-23T20:41:37","date_gmt":"2024-11-23T15:41:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=57008"},"modified":"2024-11-23T20:41:37","modified_gmt":"2024-11-23T15:41:37","slug":"hospitals-on-high-alert-ahead-of-pti-protest-in-islamabad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/islamabad\/hospitals-on-high-alert-ahead-of-pti-protest-in-islamabad\/","title":{"rendered":"Hospitals on high alert ahead of PTI protest in Islamabad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Hospitals in Islamabad have been put on high alert ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistan-to-suspend-mobile-internet-services-ahead-of-pti-protests\/\">PTI<\/a>) protest on November 24, here on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>According to a notification issued by the district administration, the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/health\/first-suspected-mpox-case-reported-in-pims-islamabad\/\">PIMS<\/a>) and Polyclinic Hospital will remain on high alert until further notice.<\/p>\n<p>The notification said that the hospitals have been directed to make necessary arrangements to deal with any emergency situation that may arise during the protest.<\/p>\n<p>The notification said that the leaves of professors, doctors, nurses and staff of PIMS and Polyclinic have been cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency departments of hospitals have been directed to be ready for emergencies and consultants, surgeons and CMOS of federal hospitals have been directed to be on call.<\/p>\n<p>Focal persons have also been appointed in PIMS and Polyclinic to deal with emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>It may be recalled that imprisoned PTI founder Imran Khan has called for a nationwide protest on November 24.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate development, the Punjab government has imposed Section 144 across the province ahead of the PTI protest in Islamabad on November 24.<\/p>\n<p>According to the notification,<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/section-144-imposed-in-balochistan-for-15-days\/\"> Section 144<\/a> will remain in force from Saturday, November 23 to Monday, November 25.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Hospitals in Islamabad have been put on high alert ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest on November 24, here on Saturday.
