{"id":57147,"date":"2024-11-25T10:41:16","date_gmt":"2024-11-25T05:41:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=57147"},"modified":"2024-11-25T10:41:16","modified_gmt":"2024-11-25T05:41:16","slug":"punjab-university-postpones-exams-amid-ongoing-pti-protest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-university-postpones-exams-amid-ongoing-pti-protest\/","title":{"rendered":"Punjab University postpones exams amid ongoing PTI protest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: Punjab University has postponed the mid-term <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/punjab-university-announces-semester-enrollment-examinations-fee-schedule\/\">examinations<\/a> for one week following the closure of roads across Punjab amid Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/holiday-update-for-punjab-amid-pti-protest\/\">protest<\/a> in Islamabad.<\/p>\n<p>A notification issued by the university stated that the on-campus mid-term examinations, scheduled to begin on November 25, have been postponed for one week.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Despite the postponement of exams, classes will continue as usual, the notification added. &#8220;<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The university\u2019s <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Heads<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> of Departments (HoDs) are expected to conduct lectures either online, in-person or in a hybrid format.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the university also delayed<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> exams last week due to the Punjab government&#8217;s decision to close all educational institutions and shift to online classes due to severe smog conditions in the province including Lahore<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, local authorities closed all educational institutions in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Monday in light of the ongoing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the Islamabad Private Schools Association announced the closure of schools, citing the current situation as the reason for this decision.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: Punjab University has postponed the mid-term examinations for one week following the closure of roads across Punjab amid Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest in Islamabad.
