{"id":57451,"date":"2024-11-27T16:51:27","date_gmt":"2024-11-27T11:51:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=57451"},"modified":"2024-11-27T16:51:27","modified_gmt":"2024-11-27T11:51:27","slug":"pakistan-to-develop-its-first-ever-frigate-class-warships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistan-to-develop-its-first-ever-frigate-class-warships\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan to develop its first ever frigate class warships"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-2\">\n<div id=\"ProPakistani_Main_Single_In_Post_BTF\" class=\"lazy-unit av-ads\"><\/div>\n<div>KARACHI: In a significant development, Pakistan is all set to strengthen its <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/italian-navy-aircraft-carrier-arrives-at-karachi-naval-station\/\">naval<\/a> capabilities with launch of its first ever\u00a0 endemically designed <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistan-navy-to-induct-advance-warships-babar-hunain-on-defense-day\/\">frigate class warships<\/a> marking a millstone in Pakistan&#8217;s history.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Pakistan&#8217;s Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, stated that this decision is a reaction to the region&#8217;s growing maritime security threats.<\/p>\n<p>The Jinnah Class Frigates are built to counter a variety of contemporary <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/russian-deputy-minister-for-defence-calls-on-naval-chief-at-naval-hq\/\">naval challenges<\/a>, such as air defense, surface warfare, and anti-submarine operations.<\/p>\n<p>Admiral Ashraf underlined that these ships will drastically lessen Pakistan&#8217;s reliance on foreign naval platforms and are being created using lessons learned from the building of the MILGEM Class ships.<\/p>\n<p>Along with the introduction of cutting-edge ships like the PNS Babur and PNS Hunain, this is a component of Pakistan&#8217;s larger fleet modernization initiative.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Karachi Shipyard is building two ships of the MILGEM class.
