{"id":57623,"date":"2024-11-28T23:05:27","date_gmt":"2024-11-28T18:05:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=57623"},"modified":"2024-11-28T23:05:27","modified_gmt":"2024-11-28T18:05:27","slug":"kp-assembly-speaker-refutes-rumours-of-becoming-cm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/kp-assembly-speaker-refutes-rumours-of-becoming-cm\/","title":{"rendered":"KP Assembly speaker refutes rumours of becoming CM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PESHAWAR: <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/guests-entry-in-kp-assembly-banned-following-yesterdays-brawl\/\">Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly<\/a> Speaker Babar Saleem Swati on Thursday denied rumours of him becoming the provincial chief minister as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party and the province are reportedly considering a reshuffle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReports regarding my possible elevation to the chief minister\u2019s post are based on editorial misinformation,\u201d he told a private news channel.<\/p>\n<p>Swati added that the party has given the speaker\u2019s post to a \u201ccommon worker, whom they respect enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His comments came amid speculation about changes in the provincial leadership, making it clear that he is focused on his current role and responsibilities within the assembly.<\/p>\n<p>Bushra Bibi, wife of former prime minister Imran Khan, has reportedly warned Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/bushra-bibi-ali-amin-gandapur-engage-in-arguments-over-protest-strategy\/\">Ali Amin Gandapur<\/a> that he will lose his seat if he fails to deliver in the Islamabad march.<\/p>\n<p>Thousands of PTI supporters marched from various cities to Islamabad on November 24 to make Khan&#8217;s &#8220;final call&#8221; to &#8220;ensure the release of party members and the restoration of democracy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>They managed to reach the federal capital despite disruptions and disruptions to internet and cellular services.<\/p>\n<p>At least six people, including a police officer and three Rangers personnel, lost their lives during the three-day protest, according to officials and hospital sources.<\/p>\n<p>This was the third time the party had called off its protest after reaching its intended destination.
