PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister<\/a>, Mashal Azam Yousafzai, was removed from her position on Friday, hours after she made an interview disclosing the D-Chowk protest controversy.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister’s Secretariat issued an official notification regarding her dismissal at the behest of CM Ali Amin Gandapur.<\/p>\n

“Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has directed that Mashal Azam, Special Assistant to Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may immediately be de-notified from the status of Special Assistant to Chief Minister,” the notification read.<\/p>\n

She was an advisor to the KP CM Gandapur for Zakat, Ushr, Social Welfare, and Women Empowerment.<\/p>\n

Mashal Yousafzai, who also serves as the spokesperson for Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi<\/a>, confirmed to a private media channel that she was removed from her role based on her interview.<\/p>\n

During the interview with the same channel, Yousafzai alleged that “Bushra Bibi had been instructed by the party founder Imran Khan to proceed to D-Chowk during the ‘final call’ protest, how could she refuse?”<\/p>\n

“Bushra was informed that Khan had instructed to stage a sit-in at Sangjani, but Bushra wanted to confirm directly from her husband,” she added.<\/p>\n

Yousafzai clarified that Bibi didn’t want to return from the D-Chowk, adding that chemical splashes blurred her windshield, making it difficult for her to see.<\/p>\n

“Consequently, the PTI founder’s wife had to switch her vehicle, and I was separated from her amidst the chaos during this time and after that, I’m not certain what exactly happened,” she told during an interview.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
