{"id":57829,"date":"2024-12-01T15:01:32","date_gmt":"2024-12-01T10:01:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=57829"},"modified":"2024-12-01T15:01:32","modified_gmt":"2024-12-01T10:01:32","slug":"fbr-to-fall-short-in-tax-collection-objective-for-november","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/fbr-to-fall-short-in-tax-collection-objective-for-november\/","title":{"rendered":"FBR to fall short in tax collection objective for November"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: In a recent update, the sources have claimed that the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/fbr-launches-epayment-2-0-to-streamline-tax-payments\/\">Federal Board of Revenue<\/a> (FBR) would fall short of its November 2024 tax collecting objective.<\/p>\n<p>According to sources, if Pakistan&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/technology\/apple-iphone-16-latest-price-pta-tax-in-pakistan-for-december-2024\/\">tax collection<\/a> authority doesn&#8217;t meet its December target, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) may demand a short budget.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the high taxes levied, the FBR is falling short of its tax collection goals, with a total shortfall of 343 billion rupees, sources added.<\/p>\n<p>There is a Rs151 billion discrepancy between the Rs 852 billion the tax administration collected in November 2024 and the Rs 1,003 billion monthly objective.<\/p>\n<p>According to sources, there was a Rs 192 billion shortfall in tax collection over the previous four months.
