KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced a public holiday<\/a> across the province on December 25, 2024, on account of the country’s founder Quaid-e-Aazm’s<\/a> birth anniversary and Christmas.<\/p>\n

In a notification issued on Friday, the provincial government “declared 25th December 2024 (Wednesday) as the Public Holiday on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.”<\/p>\n

The holiday will be observed by “all offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the Administrative Control of the Government of Sindh except those engaged in essential services”.<\/p>\n

A separate notification was also issued by the govt, whereas, a holiday was announced on December 26 for Christian employees in connection with Christmas.<\/p>\n

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birth anniversary is celebrated annually by the nation with great enthusiasm and devotion.<\/p>\n

The day will dawn with gun salutes in the federal and provincial capitals after which a graceful changing of the guard\u2019s ceremony will be held at the Quaid-e-Azam\u2019s mausoleum in Karachi.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
