A Federal Foreign National Security Cell at the federal level will operate under the Ministry of Interior.<\/p>\n<p>District Foreigners Security Cells will also be set up in each district nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the police, the Special Police Units (SPU), and the Special Security Unit (SSU) will perform security duties while the armed forces will also be called upon for the security of high-ranking foreign dignitaries.<\/p>\n<p>As per the draft document, the Tourism Department will be responsible for the security arrangements for tourists, foreign journalists, students, athletes, and religious pilgrims.<\/p>\n<div class=\"storypage-social-bottom\">\n<div class=\"leftside-socialshare\">\n<div class=\"story-social-icons\">Furthermore, government institutions sponsoring foreign nationals will appoint focal persons for security arrangements.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The federal government has devised a &#8220;comprehensive&#8221; security framework to ensure the protection of foreign nationals in Pakistan after the recent attacks against foreigners, particularly Chinese.
