{"id":59875,"date":"2024-12-21T13:53:42","date_gmt":"2024-12-21T08:53:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=59875"},"modified":"2024-12-21T13:53:42","modified_gmt":"2024-12-21T08:53:42","slug":"will-there-be-public-holiday-on-december-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/will-there-be-public-holiday-on-december-25\/","title":{"rendered":"Will there be public holiday on December 25?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Pakistan marks December 25, 2024, as <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/no-holiday-tomorrow-for-quaid-e-azams-death-anniversary-this-year\/\">Quaid-e-Azam Day<\/a> to commemorate the birth anniversary of the nation&#8217;s founder Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah along with the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/sindh-govt-announces-public-holiday-announced-on-december-25-26\/\">Christmas<\/a> celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>Every year, the nation observes a public holiday on December 25 to celebrate the Jinnah&#8217;s birthday with great enthusiasm and devotion.<\/p>\n<p>The federal government has not yet officially notified the public holiday for the occasion, however, the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/islamabad\/winter-vacation-announced-in-islamabad-for-educational-institutions\/\">circular<\/a> issued by the cabinet division for annual holidays in 2024 includes December 25.<\/p>\n<p>The circular issued last year notified that 11 public holidays and 22 optional holidays will be observed in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>According to the circular, a public holiday will be observed on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas. In addition to that, the Christian community will also observe December 26, a day after Christmas, as the holiday.<\/p>\n<p>It is pertinent to mention that the Sindh government has already announced a public holiday in all government offices on December 25 on account of Quaid-e-Azam&#8217;s birth anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>A notification was also issued by the provincial government in this regard, whereas, a holiday was announced on December 26 for Christian employees in connection with Christmas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Pakistan marks December 25, 2024, as Quaid-e-Azam Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of the nation&#8217;s founder Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah along with the Christmas celebrations.
