{"id":59880,"date":"2024-12-21T15:08:56","date_gmt":"2024-12-21T10:08:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=59880"},"modified":"2024-12-21T15:08:56","modified_gmt":"2024-12-21T10:08:56","slug":"punjab-launches-lucrative-loan-scheme-for-govt-officers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-launches-lucrative-loan-scheme-for-govt-officers\/","title":{"rendered":"Punjab launches lucrative loan scheme for govt officers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The authorities in Punjab have launched a lucrative <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/punjab-launches-karobar-card-loan-scheme-to-boost-small-businesses\/\">loan scheme<\/a>\u00a0for civil bureaucracy, offering loans from Rs5 million to Rs25 million.<\/p>\n<p>According to the details,\u00a0the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and Provincial Management Service (PMS) officers can avail loans at a mere two per cent interest rate.<\/p>\n<p>The loan scheme, named &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-assembly-okays-rs500000-salary-for-mpas\/\">Welfare Endowment Fund<\/a> (WEF)&#8221; was created during the caretaker chief minister Mohsin Naqvi\u2019s tenure with Rs5 billion seed money for the fund.<\/p>\n<p>The pamphlet titled &#8220;Welfare Endowment Fund: A landmark initiative of Chief Secretary Punjab for PAS and PMS officers \u2013 serving in Punjab&#8221; was distributed on Friday among top civil officers.<\/p>\n<p>According to the document, public servants can get concessional loans for car financing, house building, personal\/ children education support, and medical treatment (for family).<\/p>\n<h2>Loan scheme for Punjab civil servants<\/h2>\n<p>As per the details, the PAS and PMS officers in BS-17 can apply for a loan of up to Rs5 million.<\/p>\n<p>BS-18 officers of aforementioned services can apply for up to Rs15 million loan, while BS-19 and BS-20 officers can seek loans up to Rs20 million.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the BS-21 and BS-22 officers can apply for a loan up to Rs25 million.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement came days after the Punjab Assembly passed a bill raising the salaries of provincial assembly members, speaker, deputy speaker, ministers, parliamentary secretaries, and advisors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The authorities in Punjab have launched a lucrative loan scheme\u00a0for civil bureaucracy, offering loans from Rs5 million to Rs25 million.
