{"id":59924,"date":"2024-12-21T21:56:37","date_gmt":"2024-12-21T16:56:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=59924"},"modified":"2024-12-21T21:56:37","modified_gmt":"2024-12-21T16:56:37","slug":"pet-lion-killed-after-escaping-from-house-in-lahore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/lahore\/pet-lion-killed-after-escaping-from-house-in-lahore\/","title":{"rendered":"Pet lion killed after escaping from house in Lahore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lahore: In a<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/tragic-incident-sub-inspector-killed-for-issuing-traffic-violation-challan\/\"> tragic incident<\/a>, a pet lion was shot dead after being set loose here in Lahore on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The incident took place in the Harbanspura area where a pet lion broke free from its cage at a resident\u2019s dera (house).<\/p>\n<p>The animal attacked at least three people, injuring them, before fleeing the premises and reaching a nearby drain.<\/p>\n<p>Security guards shot and killed the lion after failing to catch the animal.<\/p>\n<p>Police reached the spot and initiated legal action.<\/p>\n<p>Keeping big cats as pets is a growing trend among wealthy citizens as recently a YouTuber <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/life-style\/tiktoker-rajab-butt-granted-bail-in-illegal-weapons-possession-case\/\">Rajab Butt<\/a> was arrested for displaying a firearm in public and keeping a lion cub at his residence without a license.<\/p>\n<p>Police along with the wildlife department raided his residence in the Chohang area after it was reported that the YouTuber was in possession of wildlife without a license and openly displayed weapons.<\/p>\n<p>Read more: YouTuber Rajab Butt arrested from his residence.<\/p>\n<p>Reports suggest that the police and wildlife had received the lion cub Rajab Butt as a gift during his wedding ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against the YouTuber, which has been transferred to the local police station for further investigation, a Punjab police spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p>The YouTuber\u2019s lavish wedding celebrations came under fire from social media users after a large amount of cash was thrown at the couple and guests.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lahore: In a tragic incident, a pet lion was shot dead after being set loose here in Lahore on Saturday.
