ISLAMABAD: The Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), with the support of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC<\/a>), has discovered significant gas reserves<\/a> in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.<\/p>\n

The discovered reserves can produce up to 2.14 million cubic feet of gas per day.<\/div>\n

Under the natural resources exploration projects of SIFC, the scope of discovery of natural resources in the mining sector has expanded, the press release read.<\/p>\n

The discovery will significantly increase the country’s energy self-reliance and will help in reducing the energy crisis, it read.<\/p>\n

Earlier on December 13, another oil and gas reserves were discovered in the Bettani-2 well located in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.<\/div>\n
