RAWALPINDI: Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan<\/a> has rejected the statement of DG ISPR and said that former Army Chief Bajwa made a strategy for talks with the Taliban.<\/p>\n

This was revealed by lawyer Faisal Chaudhry while talking to the media outside Adiala Jail after meeting Imran Khan.<\/p>\n

Earlier, a six-member legal team met Imran Khan. Faisal Chaudhry said that a series of cases are ongoing against Imran Khan, all of which are based on political motives and have no truth in them. He added that the cases against his leaders and workers are completely political.<\/p>\n

Faisal Chaudhry revealed that Imran Khan reiterated his demand for the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the May 9 incident and the November 26 protest. He also said that 21 detainees of his party have been granted bail.<\/p>\n

According to Faisal Chaudhry, Imran Khan said that the ISPR<\/a>\u2019s position is wrong, the strategy regarding the Taliban was initiated by Bajwa. He stressed that the Afghan issue would be resolved through talks, as talks are an effective method. However, he criticized the involvement in bomb blasts as well as the process of sending special delegations to Kabul.<\/p>\n

Chaudhry also criticized the sentences handed down by military courts, calling them controversial and lacking transparency. He stressed the need to protect Pakistan\u2019s constitution and respect human rights, stressing that he wanted justice, not concessions, in the talks.<\/p>\n

Faisal announced a deadline of January 31 to gauge the government\u2019s seriousness in resolving these issues.<\/p>\n

He said that Imran Khan has directed for an immediate resolution of the Parachinar issue, and law enforcement agencies are actively working on it.<\/p>\n

He warned that the issue is spreading to Sindh and Balochistan and should be resolved on humanitarian grounds. He also condemned the Sindh government\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n

Faisal Chaudhry added that he would participate in the talks on the 2nd of the month and made it clear that he had backed away from the demands to repeal the 26th Amendment and address electoral mandate theft. He criticized the government for its fear-based rule, highlighting the damage it was causing to the country, its economy and its citizens.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
