{"id":61727,"date":"2025-01-07T20:13:27","date_gmt":"2025-01-07T15:13:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=61727"},"modified":"2025-01-07T20:13:27","modified_gmt":"2025-01-07T15:13:27","slug":"first-public-holiday-of-year-2025-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/first-public-holiday-of-year-2025-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"First public holiday of year 2025 announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pm-shehbaz-likely-to-expand-federal-cabinet-by-next-week\/\">Cabinet Division<\/a> has formally announced the schedule of public holidays for the 2025 calendar year.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, Pakistan will observe 17 <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/govt-announces-public-holidays-for-2025\/\">public holidays<\/a> in total due to various national and Islamic events, with minorities having their own holidays.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistanis will enjoy its first public holiday of 2025 on February 5 which is celebrated as <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/kashmir-super-league-2025-schedule-unveiled\/\">Kashmir Day<\/a> . It is observed to show Pakistan&#8217;s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people&#8217;s fair fight for their unalienable right to self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions.<\/p>\n<p>In March, the government is expected to announce three holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr, a joyous occasion for Muslims around the world. Additionally, there would be a Labor Day holiday on May 1, which is a great opportunity for workers to take a well-deserved break.<\/p>\n<p>The holiday season would continue with Eid-ul- Adha holidays, which are subject to the sighting of the moon, and Ashura holidays would be observed on Muharram 9 and 10.<\/p>\n<p>Other notable public holidays will include 14 August as Pakistan&#8217;s independence day and 12 Rabi-ul-Awal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, the Cabinet Division has formally announced the schedule of public holidays for the 2025 calendar year.
