KARACHI: In a recent development, the National Highway& Motorway police<\/a> (NHMP) has launched a grand operation against traffic violations while driving on the motorway.<\/p>\n

During a meeting in Karachi’s South Zone the Inspector General Riffat Mukhtar Raja defined that strict measures will be taken\u00a0 against fast lane violations<\/a> on record.<\/p>\n

The meeting also reviewed ongoing operations and resolved to adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards overloaded vehicles<\/a>, hence overloaded vehicles would not be allowed to enter the motorways, and legal actions would be taken against violators to make them comply with the traffic regulations.<\/p>\n

Moreover, IG Riffat Mukhtar Raja directed officers to intensify efforts to enhance road safety and security across national highways, while ensuring the convenience of road users.<\/span><\/p>\n

He also <\/span>emphasized<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>that<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>professional service\u00a0<\/span>delivery\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>high standards of conduct<\/span> of National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) should be maintained,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>he encouraged\u00a0<\/span>field officers to uphold and reflect the positive impact of NHMP’s professionalism in their daily operations. <\/span><\/p>\n

During the meeting, DIG Asghar Ali Yousafzai\u00a0<\/span>briefed<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>on the operational status and\u00a0<\/span>achievements<\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0<\/span>South Zone with minute <\/span>details of\u00a0<\/span>progress made in\u00a0<\/span>highway<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>motorway<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>travel\u00a0<\/span>for<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>safety<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>efficiency<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>vision of\u00a0<\/span>NHMP<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>is to\u00a0<\/span>make<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>driving environment on national highways and motorways<\/span>\u00a0safe and secure<\/span>, and\u00a0<\/span>its<\/span> mission is to promote safety through effective enforcement and provision of assistance to road users.<\/span><\/p>\n
