{"id":62210,"date":"2025-01-12T16:04:49","date_gmt":"2025-01-12T11:04:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=62210"},"modified":"2025-01-12T16:05:17","modified_gmt":"2025-01-12T11:05:17","slug":"et-dept-meets-53-of-annual-tax-collection-target-in-just-6-months","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/et-dept-meets-53-of-annual-tax-collection-target-in-just-6-months\/","title":{"rendered":"E&#038;T dept meets 53% of annual tax collection target in just 6 months"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>MULTAN: The excise, Taxation, and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pakistan-navy-seizes-narcotics-worth-1million-in-arabian-sea\/\">Narcotics Control department<\/a>, Multan division, achieved a 53 percent tax recovery target by collecting Rs 1.91 billion during the first six months of the current fiscal year.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>According to official sources, the government had set a tax recovery target of Rs 3.60 billion in the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/schools-in-lahore-multan-divisions-re-open-as-smog-crisis-eases\/\">Multan division<\/a>, out of which Rs 1.91 billion has been collected.<\/div>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\">\n<p>Among four districts of the division, Multan was on top of the performance chart, collecting Rs 1.38 billion against its target of Rs 2.53 billion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Vehari followed with 52 percent of its target achieved, Lodhran stood third with 50 percent while Khanewal achieved a 45 percent tax recovery target.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>According to the report, the department collected Rs 642.3 million in property tax, Rs 654.1 million from motor branch fees, and Rs 35.7 million in professional tax.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Director Excise Multan division, Iftikhar Ahmed Bhali, eulogized the efforts and urged the business community, small traders, and owners of luxury houses to ensure timely payment of their due property taxes.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MULTAN: The excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control department, Multan division, achieved a 53 percent tax recovery target by collecting Rs 1.91 billion during the first six months of the current fiscal year.
