{"id":62470,"date":"2025-01-14T19:05:10","date_gmt":"2025-01-14T14:05:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=62470"},"modified":"2025-01-14T19:05:10","modified_gmt":"2025-01-14T14:05:10","slug":"punjab-govt-introduces-new-speed-limit-for-motorcyclists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-govt-introduces-new-speed-limit-for-motorcyclists\/","title":{"rendered":"Punjab govt introduces new speed limit for motorcyclists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-cabinet-approves-cm-punjab-laptop-scheme\/\">Punjab cabinet<\/a> has approved a new speed limit of 60 kilometers per hour for motorcyclists to ensure the safety of passengers on the roads.<\/p>\n<p>As per the details, provincial information minister Azma Bokhari disclosed this while addressing a press conference on Tuesday, adding that approval has also been given to register vehicles within 6 months.<\/p>\n<p>It was decided in the meeting that the speed of motorcycles will not exceed 60 kilometers per hour and companies will be directed not to exceed this limit for new motorcycles.<\/p>\n<p>She said that the cabinet has approved the Hindu Marriage Act Rules. Azma Bokhari added that the Punjab government will provide loans to the youth to start businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, interest-free loans of up to Rs 30 million will be available through Easy Business Card.<\/p>\n<p>She said that electric vehicles will soon be on the roads of Punjab as the first batch of 28 buses will reach Lahore in two to three days.<\/p>\n<p>She said that the cabinet has approved a unique business of Punjab Finance.<\/p>\n<p>In a similar development, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has launched a pilot project to construct dedicated lanes for cyclists and motorcyclists in Lahore.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Punjab cabinet has approved a new speed limit of 60 kilometers per hour for motorcyclists to ensure the safety of passengers on the roads.
