ISLAMABAD: Journalist Imran Riaz Khan and former PM Imran Khan’s aide Shahbaz Gill have been booked for their alleged involvement in a malicious social media campaign<\/a> against Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz.<\/p>\n

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crimes Wing Lahore has also named a citizen Muhammad Nadeem Javaid in the case, registered under the PECA, 2016.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The first information report (FIR) stated that the accused were involved in the sharing of highly derogatory AI-generated superimposed material against CM Maryam Nawaz and the UAE President Sheikh\u00a0Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

According to the statement issued by FIA, a person namely Muhammad Nadeem has been arrested from Lahore in the aforementioned case.<\/p>\n

“The alleged Twitter account and mobile phone used to share the derogatory post have been recovered from the alleged person,” the FIA said.<\/p>\n

The accused person will be produced before the concerned court tomorrow for physical remand.<\/p>\n

In another action, FIA CCRC Multan has also arrested a citizen named M Ijaz, a resident of Muzaffargarh, for his alleged involvement in sharing derogatory AI-generated images of Maryam Nawaz on his Facebook account.<\/p>\n

FIA has also recovered the alleged mobile phone used to share the derogatory post.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n

FIA CCRC Faislabad has also taken strict action over the matter and arrested the accused Amir Abbad, a resident of PirMahal, along with seizing his mobile phone and X, formerly known as Twitter, which was used to share the derogatory posts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
