{"id":6254,"date":"2022-02-18T15:44:34","date_gmt":"2022-02-18T15:44:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=6254"},"modified":"2022-02-18T15:44:34","modified_gmt":"2022-02-18T15:44:34","slug":"nawaz-sharif-most-popular-leader-in-punjab-kp-sindh-survey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/nawaz-sharif-most-popular-leader-in-punjab-kp-sindh-survey\/","title":{"rendered":"Nawaz Sharif most popular leader in Punjab, KP, Sindh: survey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif has 58% popularity ratings in Punjab, 46% in KP, and 51% in Sindh, according to a Gallup Pakistan opinion survey, media reported on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>A significant dip in the popularity of incumbent Prime Minister Imran Khan, who ranked second in KP with 46%\u00a0and third in Sindh and Punjab with 33%, was also reported.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Gallup Pakistan opinion survey was done from December 22 to January 31 to evaluate the popularity of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Imran Khan, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.<\/p>\n<h2>KP<\/h2>\n<p>Nawaz Sharif received 46%\u00a0of the votes in KP, followed by 44%\u00a0for Prime Minister Imran Khan, 43%\u00a0for Shehbaz Sharif, and 24%\u00a0for Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Zardari.<\/p>\n<p>In KP, satisfaction with the PM has plummeted from 67%\u00a0in February 2020 to 44%\u00a0in the current poll, while Bilawal Bhutto&#8217;s satisfaction has dropped from 26%\u00a0to 24%. In the KP, however, Nawaz Sharif&#8217;s popularity rating increased from 33% to 46%, while Shehbaz Sharif&#8217;s favourable rating increased from 31% to 43%.<\/p>\n<p>In the KP, however, Nawaz Sharif&#8217;s popularity rating increased from 33% to 46%, while Shehbaz Sharif&#8217;s favourable rating increased from 31% to 43%.\u00a0 In Punjab, 58%\u00a0of respondents endorsed Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, while 33%\u00a0backed Prime Minister Imran Khan, 24% backed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and 21% backed Asif Ali Zardari.<\/p>\n<h2>Punjab<\/h2>\n<p>In Punjab, 58%\u00a0of respondents endorsed Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, while 33%\u00a0backed Prime Minister Imran Khan, 24%\u00a0 backed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and 21% backed Asif Ali Zardari.<\/p>\n<p>In Punjab, 58%\u00a0of respondents endorsed Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, while 33%\u00a0backed Prime Minister Imran Khan, 24% backed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and 21% backed Asif Ali Zardari.\u00a0 According to Gallup Pakistan, this was the first time the former PMLN prime minister&#8217;s popularity climbed after December 2018, and Nawaz Sharif&#8217;s ratings were comparable to Shehbaz Sharif&#8217;s. However, Prime Minister Imran Khan&#8217;s popularity, which peaked at 51% in 2018, has since dipped to 33%. While the PPP Chairman&#8217;s share increased to 24%\u00a0from 18%\u00a0at the time.<\/p>\n<h2>Sindh<\/h2>\n<p>In Sindh, the survey found that Nawaz Sharif\u00a0received 51%\u00a0of the vote, Shehbaz Sharif 41%, Bilawal Bhutto 37%\u00a0Imran Khan 33%\u00a0and Asif Ali Zardari 31%.In comparison to the 2018 Gallup Poll, Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif&#8217;s popularity increased from 12%\u00a0to 51% and 41% respectively, whilst PM Khan&#8217;s popularity decreased from 33% in 2018 to 10% in February 2020, before rising to 33% in the current poll.
