Only 36 migrants were rescued.<\/p>\n<p>The Pakistani victims had left their homes four months ago in the hope of reaching Europe. Twelve of the dead were from Gujarat.<\/p>\n<p>Alarm Phone, an organization, revealed that the missing boat had been reported to the authorities of the relevant countries six days ago.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, on January 12, Spain\u2019s maritime rescue service was alerted but claimed that they had no information about the boat.<\/p>\n<p>Helena Maleno, CEO of Walking Borders, told X that the victims included 44 Pakistanis who suffered at sea for 13 days, with no one to help them.<\/p>\n<p>Walking Borders also said that a record 10,457 migrants died while trying to reach Spain in 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MADRID: A boat carrying illegal immigrants from Mauritania to Spain capsized, killing 50 migrants, including 44 Pakistanis, here on Thursday.
