{"id":6322,"date":"2022-02-21T13:40:22","date_gmt":"2022-02-21T13:40:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=6322"},"modified":"2022-02-21T13:40:22","modified_gmt":"2022-02-21T13:40:22","slug":"pm-imran-khan-addresses-national-e-commerce-convention","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pm-imran-khan-addresses-national-e-commerce-convention\/","title":{"rendered":"PM Imran Khan addresses National E-Commerce Convention"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Monday addressed the National E-Commerce Convention, where he was invited as the chief guest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The prime minister said the government had decided to give complete tax exemption to registered freelancers, in a bid to boost the country&#8217;s IT sector.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Senator Faisal Javed Khan took to Twitter and stated that Pakistan had witnessed an &#8220;exponential growth&#8221; in the e-commerce sector in the recent past, which will also help attract international payment gateways offer through services here.<\/p>\n<p>The senator said 45% increase in Pakistan&#8217;s e-commerce market contributed to a &#8220;worldwide growth rate of 29% in 2021&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Javed said Pakistan reached its highest ever IT exports in the last six months. He said that IT exports during the fiscal year (FY) 21-22 increased by 36%.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Also Pakistan hits its highest ever IT Exports in 6 months.
