{"id":63549,"date":"2025-01-25T14:04:02","date_gmt":"2025-01-25T09:04:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=63549"},"modified":"2025-01-25T14:04:02","modified_gmt":"2025-01-25T09:04:02","slug":"sindh-minister-says-only-ajrak-design-number-plates-acceptable-after-april-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/sindh-minister-says-only-ajrak-design-number-plates-acceptable-after-april-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Sindh minister says only &#8216;Ajrak-design number plates&#8217; acceptable after April 3"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"content-area\" data-io-article-url=\"https:\/\/www.geo.tv\/latest\/587208-only-ajrak-designed-number-plates-acceptable-after-april-3-in-sindh\">\n<p>KARACHI: The Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has issued a deadline for citizens to get <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/automobile\/sindh-govt-to-crack-down-on-misuse-of-official-vehicles\/\">Ajrak-designed<\/a> registration number plates for their four-wheelers\u00a0by April 3.<\/p>\n<p>Sindh Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Minster Mukesh Kumar Chawla said that number plates without newly launched Ajrak-designed number plates would not be acceptable after April 3, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the Sindh government made the Ajrak design registration number plates mandatory and issued notices to owners of over three million private and commercial vehicles to obtain it for their four-wheelers within a short span of around three months.<\/p>\n<p>In this regard, the provincial minister held a meeting which was attended by Secretary Excise Muhammad Saleem Rajput, DIG Traffic Police Karachi Ahmed Nawaz, NHA, Safe City officers, and other officials.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"content-area\" data-io-article-url=\"https:\/\/www.geo.tv\/latest\/587208-only-ajrak-designed-number-plates-acceptable-after-april-3-in-sindh\">\n<p>Chawla said that counter desks will be provided to the traffic police at the Civic Center and Facilitation Centers of the Excise Department for one-window operation in the first phase, while the timely acquisition of new number plates of vehicles from the check posts of the traffic police will also be ensured.<\/p>\n<p>In the implementation meeting, Provincial Minister Chawla was jointly briefed in detail by Secretary Excise Rajput and DIG Traffic Police Karachi Nawaz.<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, Chawla said that there is a need to immediately prepare a joint action plan for payment of fines for violations of motor vehicle taxes and traffic rules.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: The Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has issued a deadline for citizens to get Ajrak-designed registration number plates for their four-wheelers\u00a0by April 3.
