Another intelligence-based operation was conducted in Karak district. The ISPR said that eight Khawarij were effectively neutralized by the security forces in the exchange of fire.<\/p>\n
In a third encounter that took place in the general area of \u200b\u200bBagh district, Khyber, their forces successfully neutralized four Khawarij, including Khawarij faction leader Azizur Rehman @Qari Ismail and Khawarij Mukhlis, while two Khawarij were injured.<\/p>\n
Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of the slain Khawarij, who was involved in several terrorist acts against security forces in the area as well as killing innocent civilians.<\/p>\n
Clearance operations are being carried out to eliminate any other Khawarij found in the area as Pakistan\u2019s security forces are determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country.<\/p>\n
Earlier, security forces had killed eight Khawarij in two intelligence-based operations in Tank and Khyber districts of the province.<\/p>\n
