{"id":63639,"date":"2025-01-26T10:57:56","date_gmt":"2025-01-26T05:57:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=63639"},"modified":"2025-01-26T10:57:56","modified_gmt":"2025-01-26T05:57:56","slug":"balochistan-set-to-hold-by-elections-in-25-districts-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/balochistan-set-to-hold-by-elections-in-25-districts-today\/","title":{"rendered":"Balochistan holds By-elections in 25 districts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>QUETTA: In a recent political update, Balochistan is witnessing local government <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/election-2024\/by-elections-2024-ecp-to-allot-electoral-symbols-to-candidates-today\/\">by-elections<\/a> on Sunday across 25 districts with a total of 167 candidates contesting for positions in district councils, with elections taking place in 51 wards.<\/p>\n<p>Only the registered voters are getting the opportunity to cast their ballots from 8:00 am till 5:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/featured\/ecp-hearing-on-intra-party-elections-pti-chairman-defends-partys-stance\/\">Election Commission of Pakistan<\/a> (ECP) has confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been finalized to ensure a smooth and peaceful electoral process.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the ECP has established 60 polling stations and 138 polling booths to accommodate the registered voter base of 43,784 in the wards.<\/p>\n<p>The ECP\u00a0 has introduced a four-tier complaint management system at provincial, divisional and district levels to streamline the registration and resolution of public grievances, ensuring that voters can voice their concerns.<\/p>\n<p>An Election Monitoring and Control Centre (EMCC) has also been prepared in Islamabad for addressing complaints related to the local government by-elections in Balochistan.<\/p>\n<p>The EMCC will be operational between the polling hours until the results for the elections are compiled moreover, trained staff has been hired to ensure smooth conductivity of the elections.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>QUETTA: In a recent political update, Balochistan is witnessing local government by-elections on Sunday across 25 districts with a total of 167 candidates contesting for positions in district councils, with elections taking place in 51 wards.
