MULTAN: At least six people have initially lost their lives while 31 were injured after a gas-filled tanker exploded<\/a> on Monday at the Industrial Estate in Multan’s Hamid Pur Kanora area.<\/p>\n

The explosion in the LPG tanker triggered a massive fire and caused extensive damage to nearby vehicles, shops, residential buildings, and houses.<\/p>\n

Rescue 1122 officials said that the fire was extinguished after hours of effort, involving over ten firefighting vehicles and foam-based fire suppression.<\/p>\n

The Rescue teams in coordination with authorities have suspended the electricity supply from the affected feeder and the gas supply to the area as a precautionary measure to minimise the damage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As per officials, the deceased also included a minor girl and two women.<\/div>\n
\n

The police reported that at least 20 houses surrounding the explosion site were completely reduced to rubble, while 70 were partially damaged.<\/p>\n

The district authorities have declared an emergency at Nishtar Hospital, where the injured are receiving treatment. Among the injured, 13 are reported to be in critical condition.<\/p>\n

Search operations are ongoing in the adjacent localities to ensure safety.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
