{"id":64179,"date":"2025-01-31T12:32:39","date_gmt":"2025-01-31T07:32:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=64179"},"modified":"2025-01-31T12:32:39","modified_gmt":"2025-01-31T07:32:39","slug":"shalimar-express-coaches-derail-near-lahores-shahdara-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/shalimar-express-coaches-derail-near-lahores-shahdara-station\/","title":{"rendered":"Shalimar Express coaches derail near Lahore&#8217;s Shahdara station"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"article-content\">\n<p>LAHORE: The Shalimar Express met with an <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/train-bogies-derailed-in-nawab-shah-20-dead-over-100-injured\/\">accident<\/a> near Shahdara Railway Station in Lahore in the wee hours of Friday, causing three of its economy-class bogies to go off track.<\/p>\n<p>The train, traveling from Lahore to Karachi, derailed on the Shahdara bridge due to the 200-year-old wooden track that broke.<\/p>\n<p>The train managed to escape a major accident, as coaches got stuck in the middle of a bridge, instead of toppling into a populated area.<\/p>\n<p>Following the incident, authorities closed the up-and-down track, which suspended train operations between Lahore and Faisalabad.<\/p>\n<p>Rescue teams along with railway staff reached the site following reports of the accident.<\/p>\n<p>According to a Pakistan Railways spokesperson, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far.<\/p>\n<p>CEO of Railways, Ameer Ali Baloch, has ordered an investigation into the derailment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The Shalimar Express met with an accident near Shahdara Railway Station in Lahore in the wee hours of Friday, causing three of its economy-class bogies to go off track.
