Water supply to both cities will remain suspended until the process is completed on February 23.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said that cleaning is routine to prevent sediment accumulation and ensure efficient flow of water. The operation will extend from Khanpur Dam to Sangjani Filtration Plant.<\/p>\n<p>Sangjani Filtration Plant will also be cleaned. Officials have advised residents, businesses and commercial sectors to store water in advance and limit usage during the disruption.<\/p>\n<p>Those facing immediate shortages can contact the Water Supply Branch for assistance.<\/p>\n<p>A private contractor has been assigned to complete the desalination using both large and small-scale machinery.
