{"id":64364,"date":"2025-02-02T13:13:44","date_gmt":"2025-02-02T08:13:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=64364"},"modified":"2025-02-02T13:13:44","modified_gmt":"2025-02-02T08:13:44","slug":"no-grace-marking-in-mdcat-retest-inquiry-report-reveals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/no-grace-marking-in-mdcat-retest-inquiry-report-reveals\/","title":{"rendered":"No grace marking in MDCAT retest: Inquiry report reveals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The inquiry into the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/mdcat-retake-exam-smoothly-conducted-by-szabmu-under-supervision-of-pmdc\/\">Medical and Dental College Admission Test<\/a> (MDCAT) retest by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) has been finished, and the findings report is ready for filing in the high court.<\/p>\n<p>The inquiry was started after candidates claimed that the retest had grace marking, however, no such trace of grace marking has been found in the report.<\/p>\n<p>The inquiry report, which showed that 2,061 students scored more than 170 marks\u20141,496 students from Punjab\u2014was drafted by a special nine-member committee set up by the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/education\/pmdc-bans-fee-collection-by-private-medical-dental-colleges\/\">Pakistan Medical and Dental Council<\/a> (PMDC).<\/p>\n<p>Over 12,500 students from coast to coast took the retest on December 30, 2024. Following the usual competitive test protocol, SZABMU ran precursory and post-exam analyses to guarantee the test&#8217;s honesty.<\/p>\n<p>The MDCAT 2024 repeat was conducted by order of the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/sindh-announces-public-holiday-on-february-5\/\">Sindh High Court<\/a> (SHC) following reports of a paper leak; this is noteworthy.<\/p>\n<p>IBA Sukkur was assigned by the Sindh government to administer the Medical and Dental College Admission Test 2024 entrance examination; the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has been made aware of the revised MDCAT 2024 calendar.<\/p>\n<p>Along the same line, the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT 2024) was set to run again in Islamabad on December 22.
