{"id":64405,"date":"2025-02-02T21:20:32","date_gmt":"2025-02-02T16:20:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=64405"},"modified":"2025-02-02T21:20:32","modified_gmt":"2025-02-02T16:20:32","slug":"13-electric-bus-routes-announced-for-islamabad-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/islamabad\/13-electric-bus-routes-announced-for-islamabad-service\/","title":{"rendered":"13 electric bus routes announced for Islamabad service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: There are 13 routes of<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/islamabad\/metro-green-line-blue-line-and-electric-bus-services-suspended-in-islamabad\/\"> electric bus service in Islamabad<\/a> and it is hoped that all the buses will be brought on the roads soon.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, the administration had directed the concerned department of the Capital Development Authority (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/islamabad\/cda-mulls-using-helicopters-drone-for-aerial-seeding-in-islamabad\/\">CDA<\/a>) to deploy all 160 electric buses on the routes and introduce new buses for the benefit of the citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Around 70 buses are running. It is still uncertain how many buses will actually come on the roads. The CDA has 16 charging stations, which according to reports are insufficient to meet the needs of the entire fleet.<\/p>\n<p>In response to this problem, a new depot is being built at Zero Point, where additional charging facilities will be set up.<\/p>\n<p>Environmentalist Munir Ahmed said electric buses would not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment. \u201cWe have been advocating for eco-friendly transportation solutions for years, and it is heartening to see the government taking concrete steps in this direction,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<h2>Here are the 13 routes<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Faizabad to NUST Metro Station<\/li>\n<li>Faizabad to Allama Iqbal Open University<\/li>\n<li>Pak Secretariat to Kachhari Metro Station<\/li>\n<li>National Library to PIMS Metro Station<\/li>\n<li>PIMS to Bari Imam<\/li>\n<li>Police Lines to D-12 Shah Allah Ditta<\/li>\n<li>PIMS to NUST Metro Station<\/li>\n<li>PIMS to Golra Sharif<\/li>\n<li>Abpara to Tramari<\/li>\n<li>Khanna Pul to Nellore<\/li>\n<li>Faizabad to Peer Wadhai Mor<\/li>\n<li>Golra Mor to Wah Cantt<\/li>\n<li>Golra Mor to I-16<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: There are 13 routes of electric bus service in Islamabad and it is hoped that all the buses will be brought on the roads soon.
