{"id":64917,"date":"2025-02-08T21:12:21","date_gmt":"2025-02-08T16:12:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=64917"},"modified":"2025-02-08T21:12:21","modified_gmt":"2025-02-08T16:12:21","slug":"govt-abolishes-provision-for-family-appointments-of-deceased-employees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/govt-abolishes-provision-for-family-appointments-of-deceased-employees\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt abolishes provision for family appointments of deceased employees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/overseas-pakistani-refuse-to-pay-withholding-tax-payments-in-dollars-to-purchase-plots-in-islamabad\/\"> federal government of Pakistan<\/a> has officially abolished the provision under which a family member of a deceased government employee was allowed to be appointed to a government job during their service.<\/p>\n<p>The Establishment Division has issued instructions to all ministries and divisions to implement the Supreme Court\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement issued by the Establishment Division, this provision was repealed following the Supreme Court\u2019s decision on October 18, 2024. The decision will come into effect from the date of the Supreme Court\u2019s decision. However, the kin of employees who die while in service will continue to receive other benefits under the Prime Minister\u2019s relief package.<\/p>\n<p>The memorandum further clarified that the decision will not apply to the families of law enforcement officials who lose their lives in terrorist incidents.
