He also accused the authorities of politically targeting both Khan and his wife <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/imran-khan-bushra-bibi-challenge-190m-case-conviction\/\">Bushra Bibi<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Imran Khan, while announcing his decision to write a second letter to the army chief through his lawyer, said that judicial independence was under threat and Pakistan was ranked 140th in the rule of law index.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed the need for strong civil-military relations to combat terrorism and warned that democracy was being strangled.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RAWALPINDI: PTI founder Imran Khan has claimed that the courts are being controlled after the 26th Amendment and his trial in Adiala Jail is also being held in a controlled environment.
