The outlet was sealed over violation of tax regulations.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Under the Sales Tax Act, 1990, and the Sales Tax Rules, 2006, all Tier-1 retailers are legally required to issue sales tax invoices through a Point of Sale (POS) Integrated System, as per the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR),&#8221; according to the press release issued.<\/p>\n<p>LTO Karachi identified the outlet over the issuance of unverified invoices and invoked the relevant provisions of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, to initiate legal proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>The outlet will remain sealed until further orders, pending a thorough review of its compliance status, the press release read.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: The Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) Karachi has sealed an outlet of Zellbury, a well-known online fashion shopping platform, for issuing unverified sales tax invoices.
