{"id":65662,"date":"2025-02-16T22:39:22","date_gmt":"2025-02-16T17:39:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=65662"},"modified":"2025-02-16T22:39:22","modified_gmt":"2025-02-16T17:39:22","slug":"cda-proposes-new-highway-to-connect-prime-ministers-house-with-margalla-enclave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/islamabad\/cda-proposes-new-highway-to-connect-prime-ministers-house-with-margalla-enclave\/","title":{"rendered":"CDA proposes new highway to connect Prime Minister&#8217;s House with Margalla Enclave"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/cda-prepares-land-to-build-pakistans-largest-cricket-stadium-in-islamabad\/\">CDA<\/a>) has proposed to use the existing six-km-long highway up to Barkahu Bypass and extend it further by a new four-km extension to connect it with the mega housing project \u201cMargalla Enclave\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>As per the Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi\u2019s directive to develop a five-minute highway from Prime Minister House to Margalla Enclave, a special team of the CDA\u2019s planning wing has completed the site identification and submitted the proposal to CDA Chairman and Islamabad Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa.<\/p>\n<p>According to the media report that CDA senior officials discussed the feasibility of the 10-km-long highway, which would require significant investment and at least a year to complete.<\/p>\n<p>To save costs and speed up construction, the proposal proposes to build a parallel highway along the existing route from Prime Minister House to Barkahu Bypass.
