MULTAN: A man threw acid on his wife and two sons on Sunday in Multan near Dolat Gate Imambargah, police confirmed on Monday.<\/p>\n

According to a first information report (FIR), the suspect identified as Muhammad Majid threw acid on his wife, Khadija Bano, following a domestic dispute<\/a>, leaving her with facial and head burns.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The FIR was filed by Farhan Ikhlaq, the brother of the victim, Khadija Bano, at the Jalilabad Police Station.<\/p>\n

The complainant said that, upon receiving the information at 8:45 pm on Sunday, he rushed to his sister\u2019s house along with his brother where he saw her sister’s face burning and smoke emitting from her hair.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The two sons told Ikhlaq that their stepfather, Muhammad Majid, threw acid on the three of them and fled the house.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the FIR said, “The accused often fought with my sister; he wants to go back to his first wife and wants to divorce my sister. That is why he threw acid on Khadija and her sons and committed this injustice.”<\/p>\n

“Legal action should be taken against him,” Ihlaq said.<\/p>\n

The victim’s brother, Ikhlaq, called Rescue 1122 reporting the incident. The Rescue 1122 team reached the site and shifted the victims to Nishtar Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n
