{"id":66294,"date":"2025-02-23T16:48:30","date_gmt":"2025-02-23T11:48:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=66294"},"modified":"2025-02-23T16:48:30","modified_gmt":"2025-02-23T11:48:30","slug":"traffic-plan-during-champions-trophy-matches-in-rawalpindi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/traffic-plan-during-champions-trophy-matches-in-rawalpindi\/","title":{"rendered":"Traffic plan during Champions Trophy matches in Rawalpindi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Islamabad and Rawalpindi Traffic Police have issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/over-5500-cops-to-be-deployed-for-champions-trophy-in-rawalpindi\/\">traffic route plan<\/a> for the Champions Trophy matches, which will held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on February 24, 25, and 27.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Islamabad traffic police spokesperson, the routes will be enforced at different times today during the movement of foreign teams.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The routes will be in place from 12 PM to 2 PM, 4 PM to 6 PM, and 9 PM to 11 PM on Srinagar Highway, Club Road, and Express Highway,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>The traffic police warned citizens that\u00a0traffic congestion is expected on Srinagar Highway and Expressway during the designated hours.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, City Traffic Police Rawalpindi has also announced a traffic management plan to facilitate commuters during the Champions Trophy matches.<\/p>\n<p>According to the plan, Murree Road from Faizabad to Double Road will remain completely closed during the arrival and departure of teams at the stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic from Islamabad will be diverted from Faizabad to the Expressway, while commuters traveling between Rawalpindi and Islamabad will be redirected via Chandni Chowk and Rehmanabad.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, traffic from Ghausia Chowk will be diverted through Farooq Azam Road and Kuri Road.
