{"id":66342,"date":"2025-02-23T21:59:09","date_gmt":"2025-02-23T16:59:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=66342"},"modified":"2025-02-23T21:59:09","modified_gmt":"2025-02-23T16:59:09","slug":"punjab-asaan-karobar-scheme-check-eligibility-registration-other-details-here","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-asaan-karobar-scheme-check-eligibility-registration-other-details-here\/","title":{"rendered":"Punjab Asaan Karobar Scheme: Check eligibility, registration &#038; other details here"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"83\" data-end=\"426\">LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/sports\/cm-punjab-maryam-nawaz-launches-electric-bus-service-in-lahore\/\">Maryam Nawaz<\/a> has launched the \u2018Asaan Karobar\u2019 programme, which aims to provide interest-free loans to traders and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across the province.<\/p>\n<p>The programme seeks to promote economic growth by facilitating start-ups and existing businesses with accessible financing.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the launching ceremony in Lahore, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that this programme is the first of its kind in the history of Punjab in which interest-free loans ranging from Rs 1 million to Rs 30 million have been offered to promote business activities.<\/p>\n<p>She further announced that land will also be provided at highly concessional rates to support new businesses.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2044\" data-end=\"2082\"><strong data-start=\"2044\" data-end=\"2080\">Loan details &amp; repayment terms<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2084\" data-end=\"2162\">The \u2018Asaan Karobaar Finance Scheme\u2019 offers two tiers of interest-free loans:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2164\" data-end=\"2341\">\n<li data-start=\"2164\" data-end=\"2251\"><strong data-start=\"2166\" data-end=\"2177\">Tier 1:<\/strong>\u00a0Loans from Rs1 million to Rs5 million with a processing fee of Rs5,000.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2252\" data-end=\"2341\"><strong data-start=\"2254\" data-end=\"2265\">Tier 2:<\/strong>\u00a0Loans from Rs6 million to Rs30 million with a processing fee of Rs10,000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2343\" data-end=\"2687\">Both tiers offer a 0% interest rate with a repayment tenure of up to five years. Startups and new businesses will receive a grace period of six months, while existing businesses will be granted a three-month grace period. Repayments will be made in equal monthly instalments, with a late charge of Rs1 per Rs1,000 per day on overdue payments.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2689\" data-end=\"2967\">The loans will be disbursed through the\u00a0Bank of Punjab, and there is no immediate requirement for an NOC, licence, or prior approval to obtain financing. &#8220;Get a loan today and start your business tomorrow,&#8221; the chief minister said, emphasising the ease of access to funds.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"818\" data-end=\"861\"><strong data-start=\"818\" data-end=\"859\">Interest-free loans for entrepreneurs<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"863\" data-end=\"1253\">During the event, the chief minister distributed \u2018Asaan Karobar Finance\u2019 cheques and business cards to selected entrepreneurs. Beneficiaries included Faisalabad\u2019s Asif, who received Rs30 million for a pharmaceutical business, and Rawalpindi\u2019s Wajahat Fareed, who secured Rs30 million for a software house. Similarly, Lahore\u2019s Arshad was granted Rs30 million for a sports export business.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1255\" data-end=\"1740\">Other recipients included Sahiwal\u2019s Ali Asif, who obtained Rs5 million for a furniture business, and Afzal, who was granted Rs3.175 million for a transport business. Lahore\u2019s Shabbir received Rs5 million for a hair salon and cosmetics venture.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1255\" data-end=\"1740\">Additionally, Faizan Mumtaz secured an Asaan Business Card worth Rs5.75 million for a garments business, while Abu Bakar Saleh and Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali received Rs1 million each for paper manufacturing and a bakery business, respectively.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"3528\" data-end=\"3568\"><strong data-start=\"3528\" data-end=\"3566\">Required documents for <\/strong><strong data-start=\"3889\" data-end=\"3923\">Scheme<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3570\" data-end=\"3646\">Before applying, applicants should have scanned copies or clear images of:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"3648\" data-end=\"3887\">\n<li data-start=\"3648\" data-end=\"3687\">CNIC and a passport-size photo.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3688\" data-end=\"3716\">Proof of tax filing.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3717\" data-end=\"3761\">Business income and expense details.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3762\" data-end=\"3834\">Rent agreement or property documents for business and residence.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3835\" data-end=\"3887\">References\u2019 CNIC copies and contact details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong data-start=\"3889\" data-end=\"3923\">Here&#8217;s how to apply for Asaan Karobar Scheme<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol data-start=\"3927\" data-end=\"4452\">\n<li data-start=\"3927\" data-end=\"4067\">Create an account:\u00a0Register through the\u00a0Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) portal\u00a0using your CNIC-linked mobile number.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4068\" data-end=\"4149\">Fill the application:\u00a0Allocate at least 15 minutes to complete the form.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4150\" data-end=\"4260\">Pay the fee:\u00a0Submit a\u00a0non-refundable processing fee\u00a0of Rs5,000 for Tier 1 or Rs10,000 for Tier 2.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4261\" data-end=\"4344\">Submit the application:\u00a0Upload the required documents and submit the form.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4345\" data-end=\"4452\">Track status:\u00a0Receive a registration number and\u00a0SMS updates regarding your application status.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 data-start=\"2969\" data-end=\"3010\"><strong data-start=\"2969\" data-end=\"3008\">Eligibility criteria<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3012\" data-end=\"3062\">Applicants must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"3064\" data-end=\"3334\">\n<li data-start=\"3064\" data-end=\"3104\">Be aged between\u00a0<strong data-start=\"3082\" data-end=\"3101\">21 and 57 years<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3105\" data-end=\"3160\">Have a\u00a0<strong data-start=\"3114\" data-end=\"3128\">valid CNIC<\/strong>\u00a0and registered mobile number.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3161\" data-end=\"3206\">Own or plan a business located in Punjab.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3207\" data-end=\"3258\">Be a\u00a0<strong data-start=\"3214\" data-end=\"3227\">tax filer<\/strong>\u00a0with a clean credit history.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3259\" data-end=\"3334\">Provide references and documentation related to business and residence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3336\" data-end=\"3526\">Additionally, small businesses with annual sales of up to Rs150 million and medium-sized businesses with annual sales between Rs150 million and Rs800 million are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"4454\" data-end=\"4492\"><strong data-start=\"4454\" data-end=\"4490\">Usage of Asaan Karobaar SME Card<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"4494\" data-end=\"4806\">The\u00a0Asaan Karobaar SME Card\u00a0can be used for vendor payments, utility bills, and government fees. However, cash withdrawals are capped at 25% of the loan limit.
