ISLAMABAD: According to the sources, the federal government is expected to announce a hike of about Rs. 4-4.50 in fuel prices effective March 1, 2025, based on changes in international markets and exchange rates.<\/p>\n
The suggested rise in petrol prices results from bumpy shove-ups on international fuel rates along with a dollar-a-diminishing exchange rate.<\/p>\n
The price of Brent crude remained stable, having wise ranges but often had minimal variable inputs affecting the local fuel prices.<\/p>\n
If the increase goes as planned, the price of petrol will be increased from the current Rs. 256.13 to Rs. 260.13. Whereas, high-speed diesel and kerosene oil currently sell at Rs. 263.95 and Rs. 171.65 per liter, respectively.<\/p>\n
However, in the market, kerosene is rarely sold below Rs. 300 and often as high as Rs. 350 a liter.<\/p>\n
Earlier, the federal government revised the petrol prices have been reduced by Rs 1 per litre to Rs 256.13 and high-speed diesel prices by Rs 4 per litre to Rs 263.95.<\/p>\n
Kerosene prices have been reduced by Rs 3.20 per litre to Rs 171.65 and light diesel oil by Rs 5.25 to Rs 155.81 per litre.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
