{"id":66657,"date":"2025-02-27T13:06:09","date_gmt":"2025-02-27T08:06:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=66657"},"modified":"2025-02-27T13:06:09","modified_gmt":"2025-02-27T08:06:09","slug":"govt-announces-zakat-nisab-for-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/govt-announces-zakat-nisab-for-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt announces Zakat Nisab for 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: In a recent development, the Administrator General Zakat has fixed the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/inquiry-uncovers-massive-misappropriation-in-zakat-fund-fia-to-investigate\/\">Nisab for Zakat<\/a> for the year 1445-46 AH for Pakistan at the current value of Rs 179,689.<\/p>\n<p>This means that no Zakat deduction will be made from accounts with a balance below this threshold on the first day of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/kp-govt-lifts-weekly-meat-free-days-during-ramadan-2025\/\">Ramzan-ul-Mubarak<\/a>, 1446 AH, which is expected to fall on March 1 or 2, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Zakat is deducted from savings bank accounts, profit-and-loss sharing accounts, and all other similar accounts, on amounts beginning from Rs 179,689 and above. All<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/inquiry-uncovers-massive-misappropriation-in-zakat-fund-fia-to-investigate\/\"> Zakat Collection and Controlling Agencies<\/a> (ZCCAs) are directed to deduct Zakat at their respective amounts and deposit it in the Central Zakat Account No. CZ-08 at the State Bank of Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>All the customers having submitted the Zakat exemption certificates will be exempted from Zakat deductions.
