One is 20 a 20-year-old local resident, while the other patient is a 42-year-old who returned from Saudi Arabia last year.<\/p>\n<p>The Advisor to the Health Minister, Ehtisham Ali, stated that both patients were tested for Monkeypox at the Khyber Teaching Hospital for treatment and were isolated at home.<\/p>\n<p>The patients visited the hospital due to doubt, and their test for monkeypox came back positive. However, their other family members, fortunately, have shown no signs of the virus.<\/p>\n<p>This development comes as Pakistan continues to grapple with the spread of mpox, which has been declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern by the WHO, with over 99,518 confirmed cases and 208 deaths reported worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PESHAWAR: Pakistan has reported two more mpox cases from Peshawar, raising the total number of affected people in the province to 13.
