The alert also led to increased security in several areas, including key entry points to the capital.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"96\" data-end=\"386\">Furthermore, the security around Islamabad&#8217;s Hostel City has also heightened and the LEAs have initiated a search<span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">\u00a0operation due to possible threats. <\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1302\" data-end=\"1532\">Residents are urged to avoid non-essential travel in the affected areas and remain indoors if possible.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1302\" data-end=\"1532\">Authorities have vowed to take all necessary steps to ensure the safety and security of the public in these challenging times.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1302\" data-end=\"1532\">Earlier, the US Department of State\u00a0has issued a Level 3 Travel Advisory, urging its citizens to reconsider travel to Pakistan due to the risks of \u201cterrorism and the potential for armed conflict.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The advisory warns that &#8220;terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting transportation hubs, markets, shopping malls, military installations, airports, universities, tourist attractions, schools, hospitals, places of worship, and government facilities.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Security measures have been tightened in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi following a security threat, sources said.
