{"id":68192,"date":"2025-03-16T12:57:05","date_gmt":"2025-03-16T07:57:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=68192"},"modified":"2025-03-16T12:57:05","modified_gmt":"2025-03-16T07:57:05","slug":"pfa-seals-eight-contaminated-bottled-water-plants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/pfa-seals-eight-contaminated-bottled-water-plants\/","title":{"rendered":"PFA seals eight contaminated bottled water plants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE: The<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/frozen-food-brands-including-sabroso-pakistan-accused-for-overcharging-customers\/\"> Punjab Food Authority<\/a> (PFA) has taken drastic measures against bottled water plants, sealing eight facilities due to alarming levels of chemical and bacterial contamination.<\/p>\n<p>Laboratory tests conducted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/health\/exploring-the-bioregulatory-potential-of-tb-500-and-bpc-157-peptides-in-scientific-research\/\">Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources<\/a> (PCRWR) revealed that several brands of bottled water contained hazardous contaminants, exceeding permissible limits set by the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA).<\/p>\n<p>This poses a significant public health risk, especially in a country where water contamination is already a major concern.<\/p>\n<p>The contaminated bottled water was found to contain excessive levels of arsenic, sodium, potassium, and microbiological contaminants.
