{"id":68451,"date":"2025-03-19T13:05:29","date_gmt":"2025-03-19T08:05:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=68451"},"modified":"2025-03-19T13:08:32","modified_gmt":"2025-03-19T08:08:32","slug":"federal-government-notifies-eid-ul-fitr-holidays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/federal-government-notifies-eid-ul-fitr-holidays\/","title":{"rendered":"Federal government notifies Eid-ul-Fitr holidays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Wednesday officially announced the public holidays on the occasion of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/punjab-govt-to-issue-salaries-on-this-date-before-eid-ul-fitr-2025\/\">Eid-ul-Fitr 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, the Eidul Fitr holidays will be observed from March 31 (Monday) to April 2 (Wednesday).<\/p>\n<p>Eidul Fitr is expected to be observed across Pakistan on Monday, March 31, 2025, following the completion of 29 days of Ramadan.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, along with zonal committees are set to convene on Sunday evening, March 30, 2025 (corresponding to Ramazan 29, 1446 AH), to sight the Shawwal moon.<\/p>\n<p>Religious scholars, meteorologists, and officials will meet at the\u00a0Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony in Islamabad to review moon sighting reports from all of Pakistan.<\/p>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-473dfed elementor-widget elementor-widget-theme-post-content\" data-id=\"473dfed\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"theme-post-content.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<p>The sighting of the new moon defines the lunar months of the Islamic calendar, including Ramadan, Eid, and Muharram.<\/p>\n<p>The Pakistan Space &amp; Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) uses scientific methods, astronomical calculations, and advanced technology to forecast the appearance of the Ramadan and Shawwal crescents.<\/p>\n<p>Astronomically, the Shawwal moon is likely to be visible on March 30, suggesting that Eid ul Fitr will most certainly fall on March 31, 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Wednesday officially announced the public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr 2025.
