{"id":68682,"date":"2025-03-21T17:06:25","date_gmt":"2025-03-21T12:06:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=68682"},"modified":"2025-03-21T17:06:25","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T12:06:25","slug":"sbp-announces-bank-holidays-for-eidul-fitr-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/sbp-announces-bank-holidays-for-eidul-fitr-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"SBP announces bank holidays for Eidul Fitr 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: In light of Eidul Fitr 2025, the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/state-bank-of-pakistan-maintains-policy-rate-at-12\/\">State Bank of Pakistan<\/a> (SBP) has announced a schedule of holidays for all banks across Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>According to the notification issued by the\u00a0 State Bank of Pakistan, the bank will remain closed from 31st March to 2nd April 2025 (Monday to Wednesday), being a public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.<\/p>\n<p>However, because Saturday and Sunday are weekly off, bank staff will have a five-day respite. On April 3, all Pakistani banks will reopen.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Sindh government announced the<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/president-zardari-approves-remission-for-prisoners-on-pakistan-day-eid-ul-fitr\/\">\u00a0Eid-ul-Fitr holidays<\/a>\u00a02025.<\/p>\n<p>According to a notification issued by the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department of the Sindh government, the Eidul Fitr 2025 holidays will be observed from Monday (March 31) to April 2.<\/p>\n<p>Eidul Fitr is expected to be observed across Pakistan on Monday, March 31, 2025, following the completion of 29 days of Ramadan.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/central-ruet-e-hilal-committee-to-meet-on-march-30-for-eid-moon-sighting\/\">Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee<\/a>, along with zonal committees are set to convene on Sunday evening, March 30, 2025 (corresponding to Ramazan 29, 1446 AH), to sight the Shawwal moon.<\/p>\n<p>Religious scholars, meteorologists, and officials will meet at the\u00a0Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony in Islamabad to review moon sighting reports from all of Pakistan.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-5\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-25456639\" class=\"lazy-unit av-ads\" data-parent-unit=\"dailyausaf_in_content_lazy\">The sighting of the new moon defines the lunar months of the Islamic calendar, including Ramadan, Eid, and Muharram.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-473dfed elementor-widget elementor-widget-theme-post-content\" data-id=\"473dfed\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"theme-post-content.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<p>The Pakistan Space &amp; Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) uses scientific methods, astronomical calculations, and advanced technology to forecast the appearance of the Ramadan and Shawwal crescents.<\/p>\n<p>Astronomically, the Shawwal moon is likely to be visible on March 30, suggesting that Eid ul Fitr will most certainly fall on March 31, 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: In light of Eidul Fitr 2025, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced a schedule of holidays for all banks across Pakistan.
