{"id":68799,"date":"2025-03-23T11:10:04","date_gmt":"2025-03-23T06:10:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=68799"},"modified":"2025-03-23T11:10:04","modified_gmt":"2025-03-23T06:10:04","slug":"metro-bus-service-temporarily-suspended-in-islamabad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/metro-bus-service-temporarily-suspended-in-islamabad\/","title":{"rendered":"Metro bus service temporarily suspended in Islamabad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/habibmetro-bank-accused-of-alleged-corruption-in-solar-panels-import\/\">metro bus service<\/a> in Islamabad has been partially suspended until Monday due to security concerns related to the Youm-e-Ali processions and Pakistan Day ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr.<\/p>\n<p>As per the directives of the Rawalpindi deputy commissioner, the service has been restricted to operate only between Saddar in Rawalpindi and Faiz Ahmed Faiz metro station.<\/p>\n<p>The operations remain completely suspended between Faiz Ahmed Faiz station and the Pak Secretariat in Islamabad. However, a limited service from Saddar to Faiz Ahmed Faiz stations has been restored after the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/journalist-farhan-mallick-faces-court-over-anti-state-content\/\">Youm-e-Ali processions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure security, a special traffic plan has been implemented, prohibiting the entry of heavy vehicles into Islamabad and Rawalpindi.<\/p>\n<p>According to the National Highway and Motorway Police, a complete ban on heavy vehicles, including trucks, passenger vans, and transport vehicles, will be in place from noon on March 22 till 3:00 pm on March 23.<\/p>\n<p>Heavy vehicles will be stopped at designated points, including Taxila, Burhan Interchange, Chakri Interchange, and Mandra toll plaza.
