{"id":68890,"date":"2025-03-24T12:23:25","date_gmt":"2025-03-24T07:23:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=68890"},"modified":"2025-03-24T12:23:25","modified_gmt":"2025-03-24T07:23:25","slug":"fia-books-armaghan-in-money-laundering-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/fia-books-armaghan-in-money-laundering-case\/","title":{"rendered":"FIA books Armaghan in money laundering case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">ISLAMABAD: The<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/fia-detains-suspect-for-making-fake-videos-of-state-officials\/\">Federal Investigation Agency<\/a> (FIA) has <span class=\"diff-highlight\">charged<\/span> Armaghan, the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">main<\/span> suspect in <span class=\"diff-highlight\">murdering<\/span> Mustafa Amir, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">with<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">another<\/span> hawala hundi and forgery case.<\/p>\n<p>Armaghan <span class=\"diff-highlight\">had<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">been<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">running<\/span> a <span class=\"diff-highlight\">large<\/span> forgery <span class=\"diff-highlight\">operation<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">and<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">reportedly<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">earned<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">around<\/span> $300,000 to $400,000 <span class=\"diff-highlight\">each<\/span> month<span class=\"diff-highlight\">,<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">using<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/business\/pakistan-launches-crypto-council-to-regulate-adopt-digital-finance\/\">cryptocurrency<\/a> to launder the money and <span class=\"diff-highlight\">buying<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"diff-highlight\">luxurious<\/span> cars with the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">money<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">Investigators<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">discovered<\/span> that Armaghan operated a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/fo-denies-us-travel-ban-reports-calls-them-speculation\/\">call center<\/a> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">that<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">targeted<\/span> American citizens, scamming them out of their money. He had also opened bank accounts in <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">names<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">of<\/span> his employees to <span class=\"diff-highlight\">help<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">perpetrate<\/span> the fraud.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">Armaghan had<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">a<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">team<\/span> of 25 individuals, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">making<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">off<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">with<\/span> at least five <span class=\"diff-highlight\">victims<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">a<\/span> day <span class=\"diff-highlight\">from<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">each<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">of<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">them<\/span>. <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Armaghan<\/span> had established a company in the United States with <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">help<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">of<\/span> his father to <span class=\"diff-highlight\">conduct<\/span> the hawala\/hundi business.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">Authorities<\/span> recovered three luxury cars worth millions of rupees from Armaghan, and <span class=\"diff-highlight\">reportedly<\/span> he had sold five more cars. Armaghan <span class=\"diff-highlight\">denied<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">his<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">involvement<\/span> and the court <span class=\"diff-highlight\">rejected<\/span> the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">application<\/span> for a <span class=\"diff-highlight\">confession<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>He claimed the police <span class=\"diff-highlight\">placed<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">him<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">under<\/span> &#8220;black magic&#8221; <span class=\"diff-highlight\">during<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">his<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">supervision<\/span> and <span class=\"diff-highlight\">also<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">said<\/span> he <span class=\"diff-highlight\">did<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">not<\/span> directly kill Mustafa Amir, stating &#8220;it was his fate to die, I had a little part&#8221;<span class=\"diff-highlight\">.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has charged Armaghan, the main suspect in murdering Mustafa Amir, with another hawala hundi and forgery case.
