RAWALPINDI: The Punjab government has launched an extensive renovation plan for\u00a0all 45 recreational spots throughout the city to enhance the Eid experience<\/a>.<\/p>\n

These renovations will include new amusement rides (battery-operated cars for children, dodging cars, and computer games).<\/p>\n

Modern-looking boats have also been added to the three lakes located in Ayub National Park<\/a>, which will allow visitors to take a boating activity. At Joyland, they are adding European amusement rides, and a variety of animals will be on display including pet birds, predatory animals (e.g., wolves and lions), and elephants, to ensure that children will find zoo exhibits exciting.<\/p>\n

There will also be an introduction of a new species of aquatic birds to the lakes. In Patriata, the elevated chairlift ride that has become popular has been refurbished and will be ready for Eid.<\/p>\n

There will be free entry to all parks, but rides\/other activities will require tickets. Admission ticket prices have increased this year, due to inflation. These are the updated parking fees for either cars or motorcycles, which will also increase.<\/p>\n

CCTV cameras<\/a> are being installed at all recreational sites for security, and an extra security guard or two are assigned to patrol.<\/p>\n

Parks<\/span> will<\/span> be<\/span> open<\/span> from<\/span> 9<\/span> a<\/span>.<\/span>m<\/span>.<\/span> to<\/span> 1<\/span> a<\/span>.<\/span>m<\/span>.<\/span> during<\/span> the first three days of Eid and<\/span> resume<\/span> normal<\/span> hours<\/span> from 10<\/span> a<\/span>.<\/span>m<\/span>.<\/span> to<\/span> midnight<\/span> on the fourth day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Food<\/span> stalls<\/span> will<\/span> be<\/span> set<\/span> up<\/span> in<\/span> parking<\/span> spaces<\/span>, including those<\/span> from<\/span> both frequent<\/span> and additional vendors, at<\/span> all<\/span> parks. Camel<\/span> and<\/span> horse<\/span> rides<\/span> will<\/span> be<\/span> available<\/span> at<\/span> larger<\/span> parks<\/span>, as well as pony and carriage rides.<\/p>\n

Parks<\/span> are<\/span> being<\/span> provided<\/span> with<\/span> new<\/span> decorative<\/span> lighting<\/span>, and floral arrangements will<\/span> be<\/span> utilized<\/span> for<\/span> decoration<\/span>.<\/p>\n

According to Parks & Horticulture Authority Director General Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, the renovation and decoration of all parks will be completed by March 30.<\/p>\n

Protective<\/span> services<\/span> will be stringently<\/span> enforced at major parks like<\/span> Children’s Park, Ladies Park, Ayub Park, Allama Iqbal Park, Shehbaz Sharif Park, Patriata Park, and Jinnah Park.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
