{"id":69173,"date":"2025-03-27T11:37:52","date_gmt":"2025-03-27T06:37:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/?p=69173"},"modified":"2025-03-27T11:37:52","modified_gmt":"2025-03-27T06:37:52","slug":"woman-brutally-tortured-by-relatives-in-sindhs-matiari-district","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/woman-brutally-tortured-by-relatives-in-sindhs-matiari-district\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman brutally tortured by relatives in Sindh&#8217;s Matiari district"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MATIARI: <span class=\"diff-highlight\">An<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">unfortunate<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">event<\/span> of violence against a woman has <span class=\"diff-highlight\">emerged<\/span> in the Matiari district of Sindh. <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Police<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">stated<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">that<\/span> a woman named Hassana was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/kp-govt-requests-phc-to-investiagte-may-9-voilence-case\/\">brutally <span class=\"diff-highlight\">beaten<\/span> <\/a>by her relatives in <span class=\"diff-highlight\">the<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">village<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">of<\/span> Ghulam Muhammad Unar<span class=\"diff-highlight\">,<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">located<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">in<\/span> Matiari.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">Relatives<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">of<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Hassana<\/span> accused <span class=\"diff-highlight\">her<\/span> of <span class=\"diff-highlight\">helping<\/span> their daughter <span class=\"diff-highlight\">elope<\/span>, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">and<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">as<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">a<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">result<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">,<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">they<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">tied<\/span> her <span class=\"diff-highlight\">up<\/span> with ropes and <span class=\"diff-highlight\">caused<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">considerable<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">harm,<\/span> including breaking both of her legs.<\/p>\n<p>According to the details, four of Hassana&#8217;s relatives practiced <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyausaf.com\/en\/pakistan\/new-born-baby-suffers-severe-burns-due-to-incubator-malfunction\/\">severe torture<\/a>, including shaving her hair. <span class=\"diff-highlight\">Afterward<\/span>, <span class=\"diff-highlight\">they<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">called<\/span> the\u00a0<span class=\"diff-highlight\">police<\/span><span class=\"diff-highlight\">,<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">who<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">took<\/span> Hassana to a hospital<span class=\"diff-highlight\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"diff-highlight\">Hassana<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">alleged<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">that<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">she<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">had<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">nothing<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">to<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">do<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">with<\/span> the <span class=\"diff-highlight\">supposed<\/span> elopement <span class=\"diff-highlight\">and<\/span> that the daughter married of her own <span class=\"diff-highlight\">volition<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">about<\/span> <span class=\"diff-highlight\">three<\/span> days prior.<\/p>\n<p>Following the incident, the police intervened and took Hassana to a hospital for medical attention. Hassana denied any involvement in the alleged elopement, stating that the daughter had married of her own accord a few days prior.<\/p>\n<p>The police have taken one suspect into custody in connection with the torture, while a search is ongoing for the remaining three suspects.<\/p>\n<p>Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Matiari has taken notice of the incident, and a further investigation is underway.
