ISLAMABAD: Pakistanis can look forward to some relief this Eid-ul-Fitr<\/a> as petrol and diesel prices<\/a> are expected to be reduced from April 1, 2025 amid a decline in global oil prices, which has forced the government to consider reducing fuel prices.<\/p>\n

Sources say that petrol prices may be reduced by around Rs 3 to 3.50 per litre while diesel prices may be reduced by around Rs 3 per litre. The federal government is set to take the final decision on price cuts to provide relief to the public during the festive season.<\/p>\n

The government has also hinted at plans to revise fuel prices every fortnight, factoring in factors such as fluctuations in global oil prices, exchange rates and local tax policies.<\/p>\n

This expected reduction in prices will provide relief to the masses who are already facing inflation this Eid. With petrol prices in the global market down by $1.50 per barrel and diesel prices by $0.60 per barrel, Pakistan is set to benefit from these global trends.<\/p>\n
